Florida hasn’t played since suffering the 21-16 loss at Miami back on Sept. 7. The Gators actually dominated the game on paper, out-gaining Miami 413-212, but Florida had five turnovers and 10 penalties in the loss. Quarterback Jeff Driskel was 22 of 33 passing for 291 yards and one touchdowns while throwing two interceptions. Receiver Solomon Patton caught six passes for 118 yards and a touchdown.
After getting out to a 2-0 start, Tennessee was humbled by Oregon last Saturday. The Volunteers were beaten by the Ducks, 59-14. Tennessee couldn’t do anything defensively to slow down Oregon, as the Ducks racked up 687 total yards, including 471 passing yards. The Tennessee offense only amassed 316 yards of offense, with quarterback Justin Worley going 13 of 25 passing for 126 yards and a touchdown. As a team, the Volunteers rushed for 178 yards on 38 carries.
In terms of Injuries, Florida offensive lineman Jon Halapio (pectoral) and defensive lineman Jordan Sheritt (knee) are both questionable for this game. Tennessee linebacker Curt Maggitt (knee) and defensive lineman Corey Vereen (knee) are also questionable for Saturday’s game.
