MADISON, WI (The Spread) – No. 24 Wisconsin looks to start Big Ten play on a good note this Saturday when the Badgers host Purdue at 3:30PM ET on ABC.

Wisconsin is 2-1 on the season, 2-0 at home and 3-0 against the spread. Purdue is 1-2 this season, 0-1 on the road and 1-2 against the spread. Wisconsin has won seven straight over Purdue entering this game.

Wisconsin is coming off a 32-30 loss at Arizona State last Saturday night. The loss came in controversial fashion, as the Badgers were looking to setup for a game-winning field goal, but saw the clock run out on them when the referees wouldn’t let Wisconsin get set to spike the ball. Wisconsin still had 441 yards of offense in the loss, but the defense gave up 468 yards to Arizona State, including 352 passing yards. The Wisconsin offense was led by Melvin Gordon, who rushed for 193 yards and two touchdowns on 15 carries. Joel Stave went 15 of 30 passing for 187 yards and a touchdown in the loss.

Purdue is coming off a 31-24 loss to Notre Dame at home last week. The Boilermakers’ lone win this season was 20-14 at home against Indiana State. Purdue has been struggling on offense, averaging just 17 points and 268 yards per game. The defense hasn’t been much better, allowing 29 points and 373 yards per game. The team has been led thus far by quarterback Rob Henry, who has thrown for 567 yards with three touchdowns and three interceptions.

In terms of Injuries, Wisconsin linebacker Derek Landisch is questionable with an ankle injury while Purdue has no injuries to report.
