Seminoles manage win
Florida State is coming off an OT win at home over Louisiana-Monroe, 45-44. The Seminoles are now 1-1 on the season with the win, but they have failed to cover in both games while hitting the over in both contests.
FSU has struggled defensively, as the Seminoles are giving up 40 points and 520 yards per game. Offensively, Florida State is putting up 38 points and 463.5 yards per contest. The Seminoles have been led this season by Cam Akers, who has 309 rushing yards and three touchdowns. James Blackman has thrown for 609 yards and six touchdowns with two interceptions. Tamorrion Terry is leading the receivers with 10 catches for 156 yards and a touchdown.
Virginia cracks the rankings

The UVA defense has been very strong thus far, holding opponents to 15.5 points and 228 yards per game. Offensively, Virginia is putting up 41 points and 410.5 yards per contest. Quarterback Bryce Perkins has thrown for 373 yards and four touchdowns to lead the UVA offense this year while also leading the team in rushing with 112 yards and a score. Jordan Mack has been leading the Virginia defense thus far with seven tackles and three sacks. UVA has 11 sacks as a team through two games, as well as three interceptions.
College Football Betting Trends
Florida State
FSU has hit the over in four straight games following a win and in six of their last seven against a winning team.
Virginia
Virginia is 6-2 with the over in its last eight games in September, but just 33-16 with the under in their last 49 games following a win.
Prediction:
These two have hit the under in nine straight meetings, which makes the total being set so high pretty surprising. Florida State has moved the ball pretty well so far this year, but the Seminoles are now hitting the road for the first time. The UVA defense is legit and is going to keep the Cavs in the game since Virginia isn’t a real offensive power. Even though FSU has a pretty weak defense, Virginia just isn’t build to really overwhelm opponents and put up big totals.
