Two coaches under a lot of pressure can alleviate some of that pressure with a win on Saturday when No. 18 Notre Dame heads to Michigan to face the Wolverines at 3:30PM ET from Michigan Stadium.

This rivalry is one of the oldest in college football and coaches Charlie Weis and Rich Rodriguez each have had an offseason full of scrutiny and could use this win to solidify their spots with their respective program.

The Irish had one of the most impressive wins last weekend in a 35-0 win over Nevada. Jimmy Clausen threw for 315 yards and four touchdowns on 15-of-18 passing, with Michael Floyd catching four passes for 189 yards and three touchdowns. The Irish defense held Nevada to 307 yards and forced three turnovers. Nevada’s Colin Kaepernick had just 149 yards passing and just 39 yards rushing, both of which were well below his averages. Notre Dame defeated Michigan last season 35-17, but both programs are expected to be better in this game.

The Wolverines had a tough opening week prior to last Saturday’s game. Rodriguez was accused of NCAA rules violations by current and former players before the game, but Michigan responded with a 31-7 win over Western Michigan. The Wolverines jumped out to a 31-0 lead in the first half thanks to the play of quarterbacks Tate Forcier and Denard Robinson. Forcier was 13-of-20 passing for 179 yards and three touchdowns to solidify his spot as the starting quarterback while Robinson had a 43-yard touchdown run. Defensively, Michigan held the Broncos to 301 yards of offense. Defensive end Brandon Graham had a pair of sacks and was in the backfield consistently during the game.

Oddsmakers from online sports book SPORTSBETTING.com have made Notre Dame 4-point road favorites over Michigan on Saturday afternoon. The over/under total for this game has been established at 50.
