Matt Barkley threw for 257 yards and five touchdowns to lead USC while Marc Tyler rushed for 154 yards and one score.
Virginia began the Mike London era with a 34-13 win over Richmond. The Cavaliers posted 488 yards of offense as Keith Payne rushed for 114 yards and four touchdowns while Marc Verica threw for 283 yards and a touchdown.
