Wyoming opened the year with a 28-20 win over Southern Utah. The Cowboys are coming off a 7-6 season in 2009, making a bowl game for the first time since 2004. In the win over Southern Utah, Wyoming was out-gained 384-355. The Cowboys also had two turnovers on offense but Southern Utah missed two key field goals in the game.
