Game Preview:
The last meeting between these two was the ’02 national championship where Ohio State prevailed. The Buckeyes have been out-gained by Miami in the last two games by an average of 140 yards per-game.
Ohio State opened the season with a dominant 45-7 win over Marshall. The Buckeyes didn’t have much trouble, as they racked up 529 yards of offense while holding the Thundering Herd to 199 yards while also forcing three turnovers. Terrelle Pryor threw for 247 yards and three touchdowns and Brandon Saine rushed for 103 yards and two scores to lead the Buckeyes.
Miami kicked off the 2010 season with a 45-0 win over Florida A&M. It wasn’t much of a challenge for the Hurricanes as their FCS opponent only could amass 110 yards of offense while Miami had 405. Jacory Harris threw for 210 yards and three scores for the Hurricanes while Leonard Hankerson caught six passes for 115 yards and two touchdowns.
