West Virginia struggled in its win over William & Mary, allowing 309 total yards while picking up 409 total yards itself. The Mountaineers were led in the victory by quarterback Paul Millard, as he threw for 237 yards and one touchdown on 19 of 25 passing. Running back Charles Sims also had a solid game, rushing for 120 yards and a touchdown on 23 carries.

In terms of Injuries, Oklahoma defensive end Chuka Ndulue is probable to play in this game after serving a suspension. West Virginia receiver Kevin White is questionable with a foot injury while linebacker Dozie Ezemma is out with a leg injury.
