NORMAN, OK (The Spread) – No. 16 Oklahoma faces a tough Big 12 challenge on Saturday as it hosts West Virginia at 7PM ET on FOX.

Oklahoma started the season with a dominant 34-0 win over Louisiana-Monroe. The Sooners covered the 21.5-point spread in the win and went under the 61-point total. West Virginia beat William & Mary 24-17 at home in the opener, but failed to cover the 32-point spread and went under the point total odds. The home team has won the last two meetings in this series, but the Mountaineers covered the spread in both meetings.

Trends show that West Virginia is 1-4 against the spread in its last 5 games in September and 3-8 ATS in its last 11 games against a winning opponent. Oklahoma is just 1-4 ATS in its last 5 home games.

According to oddsmakers from Bovada.lv, Oklahoma is the favorite at home, as the Sooners have odds of -20.5 points against West Virginia. Oklahoma held UL-Monroe to just 166 yards in the win last Saturday. The Sooners racked up a total of 429 yards in the win, with 305 yards coming on the ground. Quarterback Trevor Knight showed he can run and throw, as he rushed for 103 yards on 13 carries while throwing for 86 yards and three touchdowns on just 11 of 28 passing.

West Virginia struggled in its win over William & Mary, allowing 309 total yards while picking up 409 total yards itself. The Mountaineers were led in the victory by quarterback Paul Millard, as he threw for 237 yards and one touchdown on 19 of 25 passing. Running back Charles Sims also had a solid game, rushing for 120 yards and a touchdown on 23 carries.

In terms of Injuries, Oklahoma defensive end Chuka Ndulue is probable to play in this game after serving a suspension. West Virginia receiver Kevin White is questionable with a foot injury while linebacker Dozie Ezemma is out with a leg injury.
