ATHENS, GA (The Spread) – Two SEC rivals are set to clash on Saturday at 4:30PM ET when No. 11 Georgia hosts No. 6 South Carolina on ESPN.

South Carolina started the year with a 27-10 win at home over North Carolina. The Gamecocks covered an 11-point spread in the win and hit the under. Georgia fell on the road to Clemson, 38-35. The Bulldogs were a 1.5-point favorite entering the game and hit the over in the loss. South Carolina has won three straight over Georgia and covered the spread in four straight meetings with the Bulldogs.

Trends show that South Carolina is 5-0-1 against the spread in its last 6 meetings with Georgia and 4-0 ATS in its last 4 trips to Georgia. The two teams have hit the under in 14 of their last 16 meetings.

According to oddsmakers from Bovada.lv, Georgia is the favorite at home, as the Bulldogs have been given odds of -3 points against South Carolina. South Carolina started the year on the right foot, bottling up the UNC offense in the opener. The Tar Heels had just 293 total yards against the Gamecocks, who posted 406 yards of their own. South Carolina continued to have a strong presence on the ground, as Mike Davis rushed for 115 yards on 12 carries, including a 75-yard touchdown run. Quarterback Connor Shaw had 43 yards rushing and 149 yards passing with a touchdown.

Georgia suffered a tough loss on the road against a strong Clemson team last Saturday. The Bulldogs had no trouble on offense, racking up 545 total yards of offense, but the defense allowed 467 yards to Clemson and the team had two turnovers and nine penalties. Georgia got great production from running back Todd Gurley, who had 154 yards and two scores on 12 carries. Quarterback Aaron Murray threw for 323 yards on 20 of 29 passing, but went without a touchdown.

In terms of Injuries, South Carolina center Cody Waldrop is questionable with a foot injury and tight end Rory Anderson is questionable with a hamstring issue. Georgia safety Corey Moore is questionable with a knee injury while cornerback Shaquille Fluker is questionable with a back injury.
