Fresno State vs. USC Pick
On the heels of Josh Shaw suffering two high-ankle sprains and lying about how the injuries took place (he claimed that he saved his 7-year-old nephew who was drowning in a nearby pool), Anthony Brown accused coach Steve Sarkisian of being a racist before walking off the team. Sarkisian was hired away from Washington in efforts to bring stability back to Southern Cal for the first time since Pete Carroll bolted to the NFL, but it’s been a rocky start for the Trojans’ new coach.
Meanwhile, the post-Derek Carr era will begin for tonight for Fresno State, which will remain a spread offense under offensive coordinator Dave Schramm. That said, having a mobile quarterback in Brandon Connette offers Schramm an opportunity to get more creative with his playcalling. Of course, Connette is still competing for the Bulldogs’ starting job along with Brian Burrell, so it’ll be intresting to see how Fresno State utilizes its quarterbacks tonight.
According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetDSI, USC is a 21-point favorite over Fresno State, while the over/under total is currently sitting at 58.5 points. The Trojans opened as 21.5-point favorites but the spread has been bet down slightly, while the total opened at 55 and has jumped up over three points.

The under is also 11-4-1 in USC's last 16 games overall and 37-16-2 in its last 55 home games.
