Big Ten Leaders Division Odds
(TheSpread) – The Big Ten Leaders Division looks to be a one-horse race. Here is a look at the odds to win this division title.
According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, Ohio State is the overwhelming favorite to win the division, as the Buckeyes have odds of -450 to win. The other short odds to win are Wisconsin (+450) and Indiana (+1800). Penn State would be in the mix, but the Nittany Lions are not eligible to compete for the Big Ten Championship.
Ohio State has never won the division title, but the Buckeyes weren’t eligible last year when they went 12-0. This season, Ohio State has 14 starters back, led by Heisman contender Braxton Miller at quarterback.
Wisconsin has won the first two Leaders Division titles, which led to a pair of Big Ten titles as well. This year the Badgers have a new coach in Gary Andersen, and they return 16 starters from the 2012 team.
Indiana has never won the division title, and the Hoosiers last conference title came in 1967. Indiana went just 4-8 last season, but return 21 starters, including 10 on offense.
