SEC West Division Odds

(TheSpread) – The SEC West Division has its clear favorite to win, but still has plenty of contenders. Here is a look at the odds to win this division in 2013.

According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, Alabama is the favorite to win the SEC West, as the Crimson Tide has odds of -150 to win. Other short odds to win the West are Texas A&M (+400), LSU (+550) and Ole Miss (+700).

Alabama has won the West Division eight times and has won the West three of the last five years. The Crimson Tide went 13-1 last season, winning the national title. Alabama has 14 starters back from last year’s team.

Texas A&M has never won the division, but this is the Aggies’ second year in the conference. A&M went 11-2 last season and was the lone team to beat Alabama. The Aggies have 12 starters back from last season, led by Heisman winner Johnny Manziel.

LSU has won the West five times, last winning in 2011. The Tigers went 10-3 last season, but return just 12 starters from the 2012 squad.

Ole Miss has never won the division title in the SEC. The Rebels went 7-6 last season, but return 19 starters from last year’s team, including 10 on defense.
