LAS VEGAS, NV (The Spread) – Despite suffering some key losses in the offseason, Auburn remains loaded and ready to make a run at the college football playoffs.

Auburn lost a handful of players to the NFL in May, including running back Tre Mason and bruising offensive tackle Greg Robinson. On defense, the team saw Dee Ford, Nosa Eguae and Chris Davis head for the NFL.
That said, Robinson is the only player on the offensive line that won’t return. Alex Kozan, Chad Slade, Avery Young and 2013 All-American center Reese Dismukes all return to an offensive line that will be in charge of opening holes for Cameron Artis-Payne and Corey Grant, as well as protecting Nick Marshall. 2013 All-Conference tight end C.J. Uzomah also returns, as well as receiver Ricardo Louis and Sammie Coates.
On defense the Tigers return seven starters including star Robenson Therezie. Three out of four starters from the defensive back also return, including Jonathon Mincy, Joshua Hosley and Jermaine Whitehead. The key is that with a year of experience in Ellis Johnson’s scheme, this Auburn defense should be even better than it was a year ago.
According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, the Tigers are 9/1 to win the 2015 college football FBS championship. Florida State remains favored to repeat as title winners at 11/2, while Alabama is 6/1 and Oregon has 8/1 odds. Ohio State is also 10/1, while Oklahoma is 12/1 and both Georgia and UCLA are 16/1, respectively.
