LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) -Louisville quarterback Tyler Wolfe is leaving the team.
The school announced Thursday Wolfe is transferring at the end of the semester.
Wolfe was competing for the starting job with Adam Froman and Justin Burke. Wolfe completed 4-of-11 passes during Louisville's spring game last week. He was 2-of-4 with 14 yards passing during three regular season appearances with the Cardinals.
Coach Steve Kragthorpe said he was sorry to hear of Wolfe's decision. The university says Wolfe will likely move on to a Football Championship Subdivision school so he can play next season.
