Lacy ran the 40 before representatives from about 20 NFL teams Thursday after a hamstring injury kept him from performing at the combine or the Crimson Tide’s initial pro day. NFL.com says he was clocked at 4.57 and 4.60 seconds.
The title game MVP says he’s close to 100 percent healthy after getting hurt during training. He says he was “a little nervous about actually opening up” but says he was satisfied with his time.
The 5-foot-11, 230-pound Lacy also did shuttle runs and other drills but appeared winded at times and had to step out of the practice facility once to catch his breath.
Lacy ended by running pass routes, and didn’t have any drops.
