According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, Manziel is a 4/1 favorite to win the 2013 Heisman Trophy after winning the award as a freshman last year. Ohio State quarterback Braxton Miller has the next best odds at 7/1 while USC wide receiver Marquis Lee is 9/1 and both Georgia signal caller Aaron Murray and Oregon running back De’Anthony Thomas are 10/1, respectively.

There’s some good value in the next wave of odds. Alabama’s A.J. McCarron is 12/1 to win this year’s Heisman, as are Duke Johnson of Miami, Jadeveon Clowney of South Carolina, and Teddy Birdgewater of Louisville. Clemson dynamic quarterback Tajh Boyd is 15/1, as is Nebraska signal caller Taylor Martinez, while fellow Cornhusker Ameer Abdullah is 18/1. Oregon’s Marcus Mariota and Alabama’s T.J. Yeldon are also 18/1, respectively.

Continuing with the odds, UCLA quarterback Brett Hundley and Baylor running back Lache Seastrunk are 20/1, respectively, while Notre Dame signal caller Everett Golson is 22/1. Miami QB Stephen Morris is 25/1, while Oklahoma’s Blake Bell and Florida’s Jeff Driskel are 30/1, respectively, while Arizona running back Ka’Deem Carey is 33/1. The two long shots to win the Heisman next year are Michigan quarterback Devin Gardner and Maryland receiver Stefon Diggs, who are both 40/1, respectively.

Notre Dame and Ohio State hold the most Heisman Trophies all-time with seven apiece, while UCS has won the award six times, although the Trojans did have seven until September 2010 when Reggie Bush vacated his 2005 award. Army, Auburn, Florida, Michigan and Nebraska have all won the award three times, and quarterbacks have taken home the trophy 11 times in the past 13 years.
