Prescott returning to Miss. State
STARKVILLE, MS (TheSpread) – After having one of its best seasons in many years, the Mississippi State football team got some good news on Tuesday as quarterback Dak Prescott will return next season.
ESPN’s Joe Schad confirmed through his sources that Prescott will return to the Bulldogs next season after throwing for 3,449 yards and 27 touchdowns in the 2014 season. He also rushed for 986 yards and had 14 rushing touchdowns for Mississippi State, which went 10-3 on the season.
According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, Mississippi State currently has 28/1 odds to win the 2016 College Football Playoffs. Ohio State is the favorite with 5/1 odds while TCU has been given 15/2 odds.

The Bulldogs did go 10-3 last season, but lost three of their last four after climbing to No. 1 in the playoff rankings. Prescott was a Heisman contender at one point in his junior season, but the late-season struggles pushed him to eighth in the final voting.
