Rose Bowl Player Props
PASADENA, CA (The Spread) – Stanford and Wisconsin each have powerful running backs as their top weapons. Which one will make the biggest impact in the 2013 Rose Bowl? View Current College Football Odds Stanford comes into this game as a 6-point favorite over Wisconsin, and the over/under total for the game has been set at 47 points. According to oddsmakers from Bovada.lv, Wisconsin running back Montee Ball has been given over/under odds of 117.5 rushing yards for this game, while Stanford back Stepfan Taylor has been given over/under odds of 111.5 yards. Ball comes into the Rose Bowl with 1,730 rushing yards on the season. Ball has been on a real tear as of late, rushing for at least 111 yards in seven of his last eight games, including four games with at least 190 yards on the ground. Ball has also been given plenty of chances to succeed, as he has had at least 20 carries in all but three games this season. Stanford had the top rushing defense in the Pac-12 this season, allowing just 87.7 yards per game on the ground this season. That mark also ranked fourth nationally. Ball is going to need some solid blocking and he will have to break some tackles if he hopes to get at least 118 yards on the ground. While Bell is a speed back, Taylor is more of a physical runner. He has rushed for 1,442 yards on 302 carries this season. Taylor has rushed for at least 112 yards in seven games this season, including three of his last four contests. Like Ball, Taylor has only failed to get 20 carries in just three games this season. Wisconsin was fifth in the Big Ten in rushing defense, allowing 124.5 yards per game on the ground this season. Taylor should have his chances to rack up some yards against this defense.
