Big Ten Championship Odds
(The Spread) – The Big Ten is making a big statement in the 2012-13 College Basketball season thus far. Here is a look at the odds to win this power-packed conference.
Indiana is No. 1 in the AP poll and off to a 9-0 start with wins over Georgetown, North Carolina and Georgia. The Hoosiers are outscoring their opponents by an average of 31.7 points, scoring an average of 89.1 points per game thus far.
Ohio State is No. 7 in the AP rankings. The Buckeyes are off to a 6-1 start to the season. The Buckeyes’ lone loss came against Duke, 73-68. Ohio State lacks many wins of note, only beating Washington in non-conference play. Ohio State does meet up with Kansas on Dec. 22 before beginning conference play. Ohio State is holding opponents to just 57.1 points per game, while scoring 78 points per contest.
Michigan is No. 3 in the AP rankings. The Wolverines are currently 9-0 on the year. Michigan has notable wins over Pittsburgh, Kansas State and N.C. State. The Wolverines face coach John Beilein’s former team in West Virginia this Saturday. That is their only tough game remaining before Big Ten play. Michigan is third in the conference in scoring at 79.1 points per game, while allowing only 58.7 points per contest.
