Big East Championship Odds
(The Spread) – One of the top conferences in basketball is the Big East. Here is a look at the odds to win this year’s Big East Championship.
According to oddsmakers from Bovada.lv, Louisville is the favorite in the Big East, as the Cardinals have odds of 3/2. Other short odds to win are Pittsburgh (5/2), Syracuse (5/2) and Notre Dame (6/1).
Louisville is currently fifth in the rankings. The Cardinals are 7-1 on the season. Louisville has won 20 regular season conference titles in program history, the last coming in 2009. Louisville will be led by a strong pair of guards in Peyton Silva and Wayne Blackshear.
Syracuse is currently fourth in the AP rankings. The Orange are 6-0 on the year. Syracuse has won 10 regular season conference titles in its history, including last year’s Big East title. The Orange will be led by guard Brandon Triche.
Pittsburgh is currently unranked. The Panthers are 8-1 on the season. Pitt won the Big East title in 2011 and the Panthers have won 10 regular season conference titles in program history. The Panthers will be led this year by 7-foot center, Steven Adams along with guard Tray Woodall.
Notre Dame finds itself 22nd in the AP rankings. The Fighting Irish are 7-1 for the season. Notre Dame last won a conference title in 2001. Notre Dame will be led by the duo of guard Jerian Grant and forward Jack Cooley.
