Wesleyan guard Marico Stinson, a transfer from Indiana State who scored 24 points in a win over Purdue in 2006, was held to seven points on 3-of-10 shooting.
After falling behind 12-8 midway through the first half, the Boilermakers responded with a 14-0 run to lead 26-12 with 5:19 left in the half. The Boilermakers held the Panthers without a field goal for a 7-minute stretch in the first half.
