Speaking after being lauded by the governor and lawmakers during “Husky Day” at the state Capitol, Calhoun says he’s not concerned about what might happen because players in his program leave school early to play pro basketball.
He pointed to Walker, a junior who is on track to graduate at the end of the summer, as an example of what is right with UConn.
Walker also bristled at the flap over comments he made that he has only read one book. He says he was talking about sitting down at one time and reading a book cover-to-cover. He says he’s read plenty of books.
