According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, Kentucky is the favorite in this game, as the Wildcats are getting odds of -5 points against Wisconsin. The over/under total for the contest has been set at 131 points. For Towns, he has been given an over/under of 12.5 points and 6.5 rebounds for tonight’s contest.
Towns was somewhat lost in the shuffle this season due to Kentucky’s depth, as he averaged just 10.1 points and 6.6 rebounds per game. He was dominant in the paint on defense, however, averaging 2.3 blocks per contest. Towns shot 56.3 percent from the field and an impressive 81.7 percent from the free-throw line. The 6-11 freshman center is appearing in his first Final Four.
Towns has had somewhat of a quiet tournament until the win over Notre Dame where he posted 25 points with five rebounds, four assists and one block. He was 10 of 13 from the floor and 5 of 6 from the free-throw line in the win. In the NCAA Tournament, Towns is averaging 13.75 points, 6.25 rebounds and 1.75 blocks per game. He is 20 of 32 from the field and 15 of 18 from the charity stripe.
