NEW ORLEANS, LA (TheSpread) – Kentucky and Louisville take part in the “Civil War” to kick start the 2012 Final Four on Saturday. Here is a look at the prop odds for this contest.

Kentucky comes into the game as the clear favorite to win over Louisville, with a point spread of -8.5 while the over/under total has been set at 136.5 points. When looking at the prop odds for both teams, one to consider is total points. The over/under on points for Kentucky has been set at 73, while the over/under for Louisville sits at 64.5 points. Kentucky is scoring 77.9 points per game this season but Louisville is giving up only 60.8 per game. For the Cardinals, they average 68.4 points per contest, while Kentucky allows just 60.6 per game. In a meeting on New Year’s Eve, Kentucky picked up a 69-62 win over the Cardinals.

When looking at players, for Kentucky, look no further than freshman standout Anthony Davis. Oddsmakers have given Davis an over/under of 15.5 rebounds+blocks in Saturday’s game. Davis is averaging 10.1 rebounds and 4.6 blocks per game. In the NCAA Tournament he is averaging 11 rebounds and 4.5 blocks per game, which puts him right at the 15.5 total. In the win over Louisville earlier this season, Davis had 10 rebounds and six blocks.

For the Cardinals, wing man Kyle Kuric has been given an over/under of 12.5 points for Saturday’s game. He is averaging 12.7 points per game on the season, but just 9.5 points per game during the tournament. In the loss to Kentucky earlier this season, Kuric had just two points in 38 minutes of action on 1-of-4 shooting.
