Tennessee vs. Michigan Odds

INDIANAPOLIS, IN (TheSpread) – Friday’s NCAA Tournament action gets started in the MidWest Region with No. 2 Michigan taking on No. 11 Tennessee at 7:15PM ET.

According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, Michigan is the slight favorite in the game, as the Wolverines have odds of -2 points against Tennessee. The over/under total for the game has been set at 134 points (View Matchup). These two met in the 2011 NCAA Tournament with Michigan picking up a 75-45 win.

Michigan is now 18-14-1 against the spread and the Wolverines have hit the over 19 of 33 lined games. Michigan has been impressive thus far in the tournament, beating No. 15 Wofford 57-40 and then beating No. 7 Texas 79-65. Michigan was able to balance some strong shooting with some good defense, as the Wolverines went 14 of 28 from 3-point land in the win over Texas while was held to 23 of 62 shooting from the field and 4 of 11 from 3-point land. The team was led by Jordan Morgan, who had 15 points and 10 rebounds while Nik Stauskas had 17 points and eight assists.

Tennessee is 21-13 against the spread this season and the Volunteers have hit the under in 19 of 34 lined games. The Volunteers are the lone team to have won three games in this year’s tournament. Tennessee started with a 78-65 OT win over No. 11 Iowa and then dominated No. 6 UMass, 86-67. The Vols closed the weekend with an 83-63 win over No. 14 Mercer. Tennessee dominated the glass in the win over Mercer, outrebounding it 41-19, including 18 offensive boards. The Vols shot 27 of 55 from the field and were 23 of 26 from the charity stripe. Josh Richardson led the team with 26 points while Jarnell Stokes had an impressive double-double of 17 points and 18 rebounds.

These two will face off in the Sweet 16 of the MidWest Region, today at 7:15PM ET on CBS. The game will be held from Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, Ind.
