Miami reached the Sweet 16 by beating Illinois, 63-59. Rion Brown was the leader for Miami, as he had 21 points and 5 rebounds on 7 of 14 shooting. Miami is now 29-6 on the season, 5-2 on a neutral floor and 21-10-1 against the spread.

Marquette reached the Sweet 1 thanks to a 74-72 win over Butler last weekend. The Golden Eagles used a 47-37 second half to get the victory. Marquette had 15 turnovers in the win, but managed to get to the free-throw line 27 times in the contest. Vander Blue continued his strong finish to the season by racking up 29 points on 9 of 15 shooting for the Eagles. Marquette is 25-8 on the season, 4-2 on a neutral court and 13-15-1 against the spread.
