Dayton vs. Stanford Odds

MEMPHIS, TN (TheSpread) – The Sweet 16 of the NCAA Tournament gets started tonight when No. 10 Stanford takes on No. 11 Dayton at 7:15PM ET.

According to oddsmakers at BetDSI, Stanford is the slight favorite to win this game,a s the Cardinal have odds of -3 points against Dayton. The over/under total for the game has been set at 132.5 points (View Matchup). These two have no recent meetings.

Stanford is now 19-12-2 against the spread while hitting the under 18 times in 33 lined games. The Cardinal reached the Sweet 16 by beating No. 7 New Mexico 58-53 and then defeating No. 2 Kansas 60-57. The win over the Jayhawks saw the Cardinal play some great defense, holding Kansas to 19 of 58 shooting from the field and 5 of 16 from 3-point land. Stanford also forced Kansas into 14 turnovers. For the Cardinal on offense, they shot 21 of 47 from the field, but were 0 of 9 from 3-point land. That didn’t keep Stanford from getting the win, however. Dwight Powell had 15 points and seven rebounds to lead Stanford while Chasson Randle added 13 points and six steals.

Dayton is 19-12 against the spread and has hit the over in 16 of 30 lined games. The Flyers have won their first two tournament games by a combined 3 points. Dayton beat No. 6 Ohio State 60-59 and then defeated No. 3 Syracuse, 55-53 to reach the Sweet 16. The Flyers were able to hold down a struggling Syracuse offense in the win last weekend. Dayton held Syracuse to 21 of 54 shooting from the floor and 0 of 10 shooting from 3-point land. Dayton had much more success on offense, going 7 of 16 from 3-point land and 19 of 46 from the floor. Dyshawn Pierre led Dayton in the win over Syracuse, as he had 14 points with six rebounds while Devin Oliver added 7 points and 10 rebounds.
