PHILADELPHIA, PA (TheSpread) – San Diego State looks to avoid an upset against Cinderella team, Florida Gulf Coast, when the two meet on Sunday at 7:10PM ET in the NCAA Tournament.

This game will be played from Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and is part of the South Region with San Diego State as the seventh seed and Florida Gulf Coast as the 15th seed. According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, San Diego State is the favorite in this contest, as the Aztecs have odds of -7.5 points against Gulf Coast. The over/under total for this contest has been set at 134.5 points. Opening odds had San Diego State favored by 8.5 points. The spread never was greater than that, and it hit a low of 7 points before closing at San Diego State -7.5.

San Diego State reached the third round by beating Oklahoma, 70-55. The Aztecs trailed 33-31 at halftime, but out-scored the Sooners, 39-22, in the second half. San Diego State was an impressive 16 of 17 from the free-throw line and held Oklahoma to 39.7 percent shooting from the floor. Jamaal Franklin had 21 points, eight rebounds and five assists to lead the Aztecs in the win. San Diego State is 23-10 on the season, 5-3 on a neutral floor and 14-13-1 against the spread.

Florida Gulf Coast had the upset of the tournament, beating second-seeded Georgetown on Friday. The Eagles are just in their second year of tournament eligibility, but were able to control the game thanks their aggressive style of play. The Eagles took 44 free throws in the game and forced Georgetown into 14 turnovers. The team was led by Sherwood Brown, who had 24 points and nine rebounds. Gulf Coast is now 25-10 on the season, 4-0 on a neutral floor and 5-0 against the spread.
