East Region Updated Odds
LAS VEGAS, NV (TheSpread) – The East Region has been the most unpredictable of the NCAA Tournament. Here is an updated look at the odds to win this region.
According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, Michigan State is now the favorite in the region, as the Spartans have 7/4 odds. Both Louisville and Oklahoma have 12/5 odds while N.C. State has 6/1 odds. The East Region semifinals and final will take place on Friday and Sunday from the Carrier Dome in Syracuse.
Michigan State is the No. 7 seed in the region, but is known for making runs in March under Tom Izzo. The Spartans beat No. 10 Georgia 70-63 and then bested No. 2 Virginia 60-54 to reach the Sweet 16. MSU will face Oklahoma on Friday night.
Louisville is the No. 4 seed in the region. The Cardinals defeated No. 13 UC Irvine 57-55 before beating fifth-seeded Northern Iowa 66-53. Louisville meets N.C. State on Friday.
Oklahoma is the third seed in the region. The Sooners defeated No. 14 Albany 69-60 before topping No. 11 Dayton 72-66. Oklahoma is matched up with Michigan State on Friday.
N.C. State is the eighth seed in the region. The Wolfpack beat No. 9 LSU 66-65 on a buzzer beater before making the upset of the tournament with its 71-68 win over top-seeded Villanova. N.C. State now gets Louisville in the regional semifinal.
