ST. LOUIS, MO (TheSpread) – No. 1 Wichita State faces its toughest test to it unbeaten season yet when it faces No. 8 Kentucky at 2:45PM ET in the NCAA Tournament.

According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, Wichita State is the slight favorite, as the Shockers have odds of -2.5 points against the Wildcats. The over/under total for the game has been set at 133.5 points (View Matchup). These two have no recent meetings.

Wichita State is now 25-6-1 against the spread and the Shockers have hit the over in 16 of 31 lined games. Wichita State improved to 35-0 on the season with a dominant 64-37 win over No. 16 Cal Poly on Friday. Wichita held Poly to just 12 of 58 shooting from the floor and 5 of 28 from 3-point land while holding a 46-34 rebounding edge. Cleanthony Early led the Shockers with 23 points and seven rebounds.

Kentucky is 16-15-2 against the spread and the Wildcats have hit the under in 19 games. The Wildcats are coming off a 56-49 win over No. 9 Kansas State on Friday. Kentucky struggled on offense, as the Wildcats were held to just 19 of 50 shooting from the floor and 4 of 15 from 3-point land. However, Kentucky was strong on defense, keeping the Wildcats to 19 of 53 shooting and 5 of 21 from 3-point land. Julius Randle had 19 points and 15 rebounds to lead Kentucky in the win while Aaron Harrison had 18 points.
