Stanford vs. Kansas Odds


ST. LOUIS, MO (TheSpread) – Sunday’s NCAA Tournament action gets started in the South Region with No. 2 Kansas taking on No. 10 Stanford at 12:15PM ET.

According to oddsmakers at, Kansas is favored in the game, as the Jayhawks have odds of -6 points against Stanford. The over/under total for the game has been set at 142.5 points (View Matchup). These two last met in 2003, with Stanford picking up a 64-58 victory.

Kansas is now 16-17-1 against the spread while hitting the over 19 times. The Jayhawks are coming off an 80-69 win over No. 15 Eastern Kentucky on Friday. Kansas had its hands full early on, as it went into halftime tied at 32-32. Its defense picked up in the second half and Kansas ultimately held Eastern Kentucky just 22 of 57 from the floor. Kansas was impressive from the floor, shooting 32 of 53 despite going 0 of 7 from 3-point land. The Jayhawks were led by Andrew Wiggins, who had 19 points and four rebounds while Perry Ellis added 14 points and 13 rebounds.

Stanford is 18-12-2 against the spread on the season and the Cardinal have hit the under 17 times. The Cardinal are coming off a 58-53 win over No. 7 New Mexico. The Cardinal jumped out to a big lead early and then fended off the Lobos the rest of the way. Stanford shot just 19 of 49 from the field but was 8 of 15 from beyond the arc. The Cardinal defense held New Mexico to just 19 of 52 shooting and 4 of 21 from 3-point land. Stanford was led in the win by Chasson Randle, who had 23 points with five rebounds while Anthony Brown had 10 points and seven rebounds.
