Texas vs. Michigan Odds
According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, Michigan is the favorite in this game, as the Wolverines have odds of -5 points against Texas. The over/under total for the game has been set at 139 points (View Matchup). These two have no recent meetings.
Michigan is now 17-14-1 against the spread while hitting the over 18 times. The Wolverines have won eight of their last nine coming into this game, thanks to a 57-40 win over Wofford on Thursday. The Wolverines showed some surprising defense, holding Wofford to 18 of 53 shooting from the field and just 1 of 19 shooting from 3-point land. Michigan shot 7 of 17 from beyond the arc and 47.8 percent from the field. The team was led by Nik Stauskas, who had 15 points, while Jordan Morgan chipped in with 10 points and 10 rebounds.
Texas is 14-17 against the spread and it has split the over/under in 30 lined games. The Longhorns have alternated wins and losses over their last eight games and are coming off an 87-85 win over Arizona State on Thursday. Texas shot the ball well in the win, going 31 of 58 from the floor and 5 of 12 from 3-point land. Texas did allow ASU to shoot well as well, as the Sun Devils were 27 of 56 from the floor and 8 of 15 from beyond the arc. That can’t happen against a strong shooting team like Michigan. Texas was led in the win by center Cameron Ridley, who had 17 points and 12 rebounds.
These two will face off in the Third Round of the MidWest Region, today at 5:15PM ET on CBS. The game will be held from the BMO Harris Bradley Center in Milwaukee, WI.
