AUSTIN, TX (TheSpread) – One NCAA Tournament game where many are picking an upset is in the UCLA vs. Minnesota game, which tips off at 9:57PM ET on Friday. Here is a look at the odds.

This game will be played from Frank Erwin Special Events Center in Austin, Texas and is part of the South Region with UCLA as the sixth seed and Minnesota the 11th seed (View Matchup). According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, Minnesota is actually the favorite in this game, as the Golden Gophers have odds of -3 points against the Bruins. The over/under total for the game has been set at 134.5 points. Opening odds had Minnesota favored by 3 points as well. The spread hit a peak of 3.5 and a low of 2 before closing back at the Gophers -3. Part of the reason Minnesota is favored is due to the injury of starting guard Jordan Adams for UCLA, who will miss the postseason with a foot injury.

UCLA is an at-large bid out of the Pac-12 Conference. The Bruins were 25-9 on the season and 13-5 in conference play, which gave them the outright regular season title. UCLA is 27th in the current RPI rankings and it went 5-4 against RPI top 50 teams this season. The Bruins are currently 4-3 on a neutral floor and 15-18 against the spread.

Minnesota is an at-large bid out of the Big Ten Conference. The Golden Gophers went 20-12 on the season and 8-10 in the Big Ten, finishing tied for seventh in the conference. Minnesota is 33rd in the RPI rankings and it went 5-8 against teams ranked in the RPI top 50. The Gophers were 2-2 on a neutral floor this season and are 15-14-1 against the spread.
