This game will be played from The Palace of Auburn Hills in Auburn Hills, Michigan and is part of the Midwest Region with the Spartans as the third seed and Valpo as the 14th seed (View Matchup). According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, Michigan State is the clear favorite in this game, as the Spartans have odds of -10 points against Valpo. The over/under total for this game has been set at 127 points. The opening odds had MSU favored by 9 points. The spread hit a peak of -10.5 points before closing out at 10. These two have met twice since 2000, with Michigan State winning and covering in both contests.

Michigan State is an at-large bid out of the Big Ten Conference. The Spartans are 25-8 overall and 13-5 in the Big Ten, finishing tied for second in the toughest conference in the country. The Crusaders haven’t played in a neutral-court game and are 17-12-1 against the spread for the season.
