Southwest Region Updated Odds
SAN ANTONIO, TX (TheSpread) – The Southwest Region has been full of surprises but the Kansas Jayhawks still stand and are the overwhelming favorites to reach the Final Four.

Kansas is the top-ranked seed in the region, but the remaining seeds are 10, 11, and 12. These four teams will face off on Friday and Sunday from the Alamodome for the right to reach the Final Four.
According to oddsmakers from online sportsbook SBGGLOBAL.com Kansas has 1/3 odds to win while other odds are Florida State (7/2), VCU (10/1), and Richmond (10/1).
Kansas has quietly played well this tournament, beating Boston 72-53 and Illinois 73-59. The Jayhawks will now face Richmond in the regional semifinal.
Florida State is the No. 10 seed in the region and now the lower seed for its regional semifinal game with 11th-seeded VCU. The Seminoles defeated No. 7 seed Texas A&M 57-50 on Friday and then dominated No. 2 seed, Notre Dame, 71-57.
VCU has actually won three games this tournament as the Rams were part of the First Four as they beat USC to reach the field of 64. VCU has then went on to beat Georgetown 74-56 and Purdue 94-76. VCU entered the region with 100/1 odds to win.
Richmond is the No. 12 seed in the tournament as it beat Vanderbilt 69-66 in an upset on Thursday and then went on to beat Morehead State, the 13 seed, 65-48 on Saturday to reach the Sweet Sixteen.
