Friday NCAA Tourney Betting Preview
LAS VEGAS, NV (The Spread) – With tip off of the early games rapidly approaching, here’s a look at the odds and key trends for Friday’s NCAA Tournament action.

No. 15 New Mexico State vs. No. 2 Kansas, 12:15PM ET
The Jayhawks are 9.5-point favorites over the Aggies after opening as a 12-point favorite but they’ve struggled to cover in previous NCAA Tournament games. KU is just 1-5 against the number in its last six NCAA Tournament games.
No. 10 Georgia vs. No. 7 Michigan State, 12:40PM ET
The Spartans are winless at 0-4-1 against the spread in their last five NCAA Tournament games but are currently 6-point favorites over the Bulldogs today after opening as a 4.5-point favorite.
No. 12 Wyoming vs. No. 5 Northern Iowa, 1:40PM ET
The Panthers are 6-point favorites versus the Cowboys after opening as a 7.5-point favorite, while the total is sitting at 111 points. Northern Iowa has been a great bet of late, going 13-3-3 against the spread in its last 19 games overall.
No. 12 Buffalo vs. No. 5 West Virginia, 2:10PM ET
The Mountaineers are 4.5-point favorites versus the Bulls while the over/under total for this game is sitting at 149.5 points after opening at 151. Buffalo is 4-0 against the spread in its last four non-conference games and is 4-1 ATS in its lat five games overall, but WVU is 13-5-1 ATS in its lat 19 NCAA Tournament games.
No. 10 Indiana vs. No. 7 Wichita State, 2:45PM ET
The Hoosiers find themselves as a 6-point underdog today versus the Shockers and it’s understandable given their recent lack of success in tourney games. Indiana is 0-4-1 against the number in its last five NCAA Tournament games while the Shockers are 6-1 ATS in their last seven NCAA appearances.
No. 15 Belmont vs. No. 2 Virginia, 3:10PM ET
The Cavaliers are 17-point favorites versus the Bruins today while the total is sitting at 123.5 points. The Bruins are 1-5 against the spread in their last six NCAA Tournament games while the Cavaliers are 9-3 ATS in their last 12 non-conference games.
No. 13 UC Irvine vs. No. 4 Louisville, 4:10PM ET
The Cardinals are 0-4-1 against the spread in their last five non-conference games and are a rough 2-6 ATS in their last eight games overall, while the Anteaters are a perfect 5-0 ATS in their last neutral site games. Louisville is an 8-point favorite.
No. 13 Valparaiso vs. No. 4 Maryland, 4:40PM ET
The Terps are a reasonable 4.5-point favorite versus the Crusaders and are 13-3 against the spread in their last 16 neutral site games. They’re also a perfect 6-0 against the number in their last six games overall, while Valpo is 0-4-1 against the spread in its last five games versus Big Ten opponents.
No. 9 Oklahoma State vs. No. 8 Oregon, 6:50PM ET
The Ducks are a 2-point favorite versus the Cowboys, who are 1-6 against the spread in their last seven games overall. Oregon, meanwhile, is 4-1 ATS in its last five NCAA Tournament games and is 7-1 against the spread in its last eight games overall.
No. 16 Robert Morris vs. No. 1 Duke, 7:10PM ET
The Blue Devils are a massive 22.5-point favorite over the Colonials and are 4-1 against the spread in their last five games overall. Robert Morris is also 4-0 ATS in its last four games overall and 5-2 ATS in its last seven neutral site games.
No. 10 Davidson vs. No. 7 Iowa, 7:20PM ET
The Hawkeyes are slight 2-point favorites over the Wildcats, who are 7-0 against the spread in their last seven non-conference games but are 0-4 ATS in their last four neutral site contests. Iowa is 5-1-1 ATS in its last seven games overall.
No. 14 Albany vs. No. 3 Oklahoma, 7:27PM ET
The Sooners are 13.5-point favorites versus the Great Danes, whoa re 0-5 against the number in their last five games overall. Oklahoma is also 1-7 against the spread in its last eight games overall and is 1-5 ATS in its last six games following an ATS loss.
No. 16 Coastal Carolina vs. No. 1 Wisconsin, 9:20PM ET
Both of these teams have had success against the spread, as the Badgers are 4-1 against the number in their last five games overall and the Chanticleers are 9-2 ATS in their last 11 games coming off a win. Wisconsin is a 19.5-point favorite.
No. 9 St. John’s vs. No. 8 San Diego State, 9:40PM ET
The Aztecs are now 4-point favorites after opening as a 1.5-point favorite over the Red Storm, while the total is sitting at 121.5 points. St. John’s are 0-4 against the spread in its last four NCAA Tournament games while San Diego State is 1-5 ATS in its lat six non-conference games.
No. 15 North Dakota State vs. No. 2 Gonzaga, 9:50PM ET
The Bulldogs are 18-point favorites versus the Bison while the over/under is sitting at 128.5 points. North Dakota State is 4-1 against the number in its last five neutral site games while Gonzaga is 4-1 ATS in its last five games coming off a win.
No. 11 Dayton vs. No. 6 Providence, 9:57PM ET
Dayton is a 3-point underdog versus Providence for tonight’s game after advancing in a come-from-behind victory over Boise State in a play-in game on Wednesday. The Flyers are 1-4 against the spread in their last five games overall and 1-6 ATS in their last seven non-conference games, while the Friars are a perfect 9-0 at the betting window in their last nine neutral site games.
