SPOKANE, WA (TheSpread) – The team with the most buzz entering the NCAA Tournament is No. 4 Michigan State. The Spartans open play today against No. 13 Delaware at 4:40PM ET.

Delaware got into the tournament by winning the CAA title. It went 25-9 on the season. Michigan State won the Big Ten Tournament and has a 26-8 overall record. According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, Michigan State is the clear favorite in this game, as the Spartans have odds of -14 points against Delaware. The over/under total for the game has been set at 153.5 points (View Matchup). These two have no recent meetings.

Michigan State was 20-11-2 against the spread this season and hit the over in 17 of 33 lined games. The Spartans battled injuries throughout the year and never found much consistency despite being a preseason favorite to win the NCAA title. However, last week, the Spartans were dominant in the Big Ten Tournament, winning three games by just under an average of 13 points per game. MSU averages 75.9 points per game on offense while allowing just 65.3 points per game this season. The team is led by Gary Harris, who averages 17.1 points and 1.9 steals per game.

Delaware was 16-9-1 against the spread this season and hit the under in 12 of 24 lined games. The Blue Hens won their final five games entering the NCAA Tournament. They enter this game averaging 79.5 points per game on offense while allowing 75.1 points per game on defense. One of Delaware’s biggest issues is rebounding, as it allowed 36.3 per game, which ranks 343rd nationally. Delaware is led by the pair of Devon Saddler and Davon Usher, who each average over 19 points per game.
