Wofford vs. Michigan Odds


MILWAUKEE, WI (TheSpread) – The Big Ten champion takes the court tonight at 7:10PM ET as No. 2 Michigan faces No. 15 Wofford in the MidWest Region of the NCAA Tournament.

Wofford comes into the tournament at 20-12 and champions of the Southern Conference while Michigan went 25-8 this season and won the Big Ten regular season title. According to oddsmakers at BetDSI, Michigan is the clear favorite, as the Wolverines have odds of -16 points against Wofford. The over/under total for the game has been set at 129 points (View Matchup). These two last met in 2006 with Michigan picking up an 83-49 win.

Michigan went 16-14-1 against the spread this season and hit the over in 18 games. The Wolverines finished the season strong, winning seven straight before losing to Michigan State in the Big Ten Tournament Championship. Michigan posts 74.4 points per game on offense this season and it ranks in the top 30 nationally in shooting percentage, 3-point percentage and free-throw percentage. Defensively, Michigan is holding opponents to 65.4 points per game. The team is led by Nik Stauskas, who averaged 17.5 points and 3.3 assists per game while shooting 44.9 percent from beyond the arc.

Wofford comes in 15-9-1 against the spread while hitting the over in 13 of 23 lined games. The Terriers won 13 of their final 15 games coming into March Madness. They ranked 23rd in the country in scoring defense, allowing only 62.4 points per game. Despite that, the Terriers average just 67.7 points per game on offense. Wofford is led on the year by Karl Cochran, who averages 15.7 points, 5.0 rebounds, and 3.0 assists per game.
