SPOKANE, WA (TheSpread) – NCAA Tournament play in the East Region starts at 2:10PM ET today when No. 5 Cincinnati takes on No. 12 Harvard on TNT.

Harvard reached the tournament by winning the Ivy League with a 26-4 overall record. Cincinnati went 27-6 out of the AAC and received an at-large bid. According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, Cincinnati is only a slight favorite, as the Bearcats have odds of -2.5 points against Harvard. The over/under total for the game has been set at 121.5 points. Cincinnati went just 13-14 against the spread this season and the Bearcats hit the under in 20 of 27 lined games. The Bearcats are 3-3 over their last six and come in with a very strong defense. Cincy allows just 58.3 points per game, which ranks sixth in the country. They also hold opponents to 39.4 percent shooting, which ranks 19th in the country. Offensively, Cincinnati posts just 68.7 points per game. Despite the weak scoring as a team, Sean Kilpatrick averages 20.7 points per game to lead the team.

Harvard played in 24 lined games on the year, going 16-8 against the spread while hitting the under 14 times. The Crimson won their final eight games of the season and they come in with a strong defense like Cincinnati. Harvard allows just 60.5 points per game, which ranks 13th in the country. Opponents are being held to just 40.7 percent shooting against the Crimson. On offense, Harvard is a little strong than the Bearcats based on numbers, as it averages 73.6 points per game and shoots 38.7 percent from 3-point land. Harvard has five players averaging in double figures in scoring. The team is led by Wesley Saunders, who averages 14.0 points and 3.9 assists per game.
