March Madness Odds

With football in the rearview mirror and baseball still a couple weeks away, bettors can now rejoice that March Madness is finally here again!

Oddsmakers have released the odds for every team in this year’s NCAA Basketball Tournament.

Oddsmakers from online sports book SPORTSBETTING.COM have established North Carolina as a 3-1 favorite to win this year’s March Madness Tournament. Thanks to standouts Tyler Hansbrough and Ty Lawson, the Tar Heels finished with an amazing 28-4 overall record this year, including a 13-3 conference record. UNC is a No. 1 seed and will play in the South Region during the tournament.

Even though they’re a No. 1 seed in the Midwest Region and already have a fair amount of respect, everyone’s “sleeper” team to win it all this year is Louisville, whom oddsmakers have given 5-1 odds to win this year’s March Madness tourney. The Cardinals finished with an amazing 16-2 record in the Big East, which also featured Pittsburgh, UCONN, Villanova, Marquette and Syracuse.

Kansas, which won the 2008 March Madness Tournament, are 35-1 long shots to win this year’s tourney, while Memphis (who the Jayhawks beat in the Finals last year) has been given 8-1 odds to win this year’s tournament.
