First Four Opening Odds
(The Spread) – Two of the “First Four” games in the 2011 March Madness Tournament kick off on Tuesday and we’ve got opening odds for both contests.

The March Madness action gets kicked off at 6:30PM ET on Tuesday night when UNC-Asheville will take on AR-Little Rock in a battle of No. 16 seeds. The Bulldogs are making their second NCAA tournament appearance (their first came back in 2003), while the Trojans haven’t been to the tourney since 1990.
Both teams have made Cinderella runs in 2011 by winning their conference tournaments and both will have to overcome sleep-deprived nights to advance past the “First Four” round. Oddsmakers from online sports book Sportsbook.com have made UFC-Asheville a 4-point favorite over AR-Little Rock, while the over/under total has opened at 129.5 points.
According to latest college basketball trends, the Trojans are 4-0 against the spread in their last four games overall and 6-0 ATS in their last six neutral site games. The Bulldogs, meanwhile, are 4-1 in their last five games following a straight up win.
The only other March Madness game on Tuesday night is between No. 12s Clemson and UAB. The Tigers have opened as 4.5-point favorites, whole the over/under total for this game is currently 121.5.
Clemson played on Saturday in the ACC semifinals, losing to North Carolina in overtime. If they win, they’ll fly from Ohio to Tampa where they’ll meet fifth-seeded West Virginia in the first game on Thursday.
Clemson is 3-0-1 against the spread in their last four games overall and 1-5 ATS in their last six non-conference games. The Blazers are 3-0-1 ATS in their last four games an underdog but just 2-8 ATS in their last 10 neutral site games.
