NEW YORK (TheSpread) – The Big East Tournament isn’t anything like it was in the past. Here is a look at the odds to win this year’s tournament.

According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, Villanova is favored to win, as it has 3/2 odds. The other short odds to win are Creighton (7/4) and St. John’s (6/1).

This is a standard 10-team tournament with two opening-round games on Wednesday. The championship game will be held Saturday with all games being played at Madison Square Garden.

Villanova is the top seed in the tournament after going 16-2 in overall play and 28-3 overall. Villanova has won one this tournament one time, which was back in 1995.

Creighton is the No. 2 seed in the tournament, going 14-4 in conference play and 24-6 overall. Creighton has never played in the Big East Tournament.

St. Johns is the No. 5 seed in the tournament. It went 10-8 in conference play and is 20-11 overall this season. St. John’s is a three-time winner of the event, but the last title came in 2000.
