Cincinnati not covering

The Bearcats are one of the top defensive teams in the country, allowing just 61.5 points per game while holding opponents to 40.4 percent shooting. Offensively, Cincinnati is putting up 73.1 points per game while shooting 44.3 percent. Jarron Cumberland is leading the team with 18.6 points and 4.3 rebounds per game. College Basketball Betting Trends
Cincinnati
The Bearcats are 5-1 against the spread in their last six Wednesday games and 2-6 ATS in their last eight games following a failed cover.
SMU
The Mustangs are 1-4 against the spread in their last five home games and 1-4 ATS in their last five conference games.
Prediction:
Cincinnati got a scare from SMU earlier this season, picking up a 73-68 win at home on Feb. 2. The Mustangs have actually covered in five of their last seven against the Bearcats. However, Cincy has won four straight and faces a small spread today. The Bearcats have a defense that will keep SMU from scoring much. Nobody has put up more than 68 against Cincinnati in their last nine games. SMU’s defense is suspect, so Cincinnati should see a slight boost in scoring, which should help the Bearcats score.
College Basketball Prediction: Cincinnati -3
