The Blue Devils (24-3, 12-3 Atlantic Coast Conference) outscored the hosts 46-31 in the second half after trailing by five at halftime. Duke shot 26-of-59 from the floor, 9-of-29 from 3-point range plus 14-of-16 at the free throw line. R.J. Barrett paced the Blue Devils with 30 points on 14-of-20 shooting including 2-of-5 at the free throw line. He also notched seven assists and five rebounds. Kerry Blackshear Jr. led the way with 22 points on 7-of-12 shooting including 1-of-2 from 3-point distance plus 7-of-10 at the free throw line. He also recorded 14 rebounds and three assists. College Basketball Betting Trends
Duke
The Blue Devils are 5-1 ATS in their last six Tuesday games. Duke is 4-1 ATS in its last five road games.
Virginia Tech
The Hokies are 1-4-1 ATS in their last six games overall. Virginia Tech is 1-5 ATS in its last six home games.
Prediction:
The Blue Devils required a huge comeback to take down Louisville two road games ago with Williamson and then this weekend trailed 34-29 at halftime without him. Tonight, Duke plays a Virginia Tech team that is better than either of those squads and the Hokies will undoubtedly take advantage of no Williamson. The slow pace (331st nationally) that Virginia Tech plays at will certainly frustrate a Duke squad ranked 16th in pace. Look for the Hokies to keep this one close at home and cover the spread.
