(TheSpread) – The Top 25 College Basketball schedule for Wednesday has seven games listed. Here is a breakdown of today’s action.
The featured game of the day is in the ACC as N.C. State hosts rival and 21st-ranked North Carolina at 8PM ET. According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, UNC is the favorite on the road, as the Tar Heels have odds of -4.5 points against N.C. State. Carolina comes in red hot, having won and covered the spread in nine straight games. N.C. State hasn’t been too bad either, winning six of their last nine and covering in four of their last five. Carolina has won nine of its last 10 against N.C. State and covered in eight of its last 10 meetings.
The other featured game of the day has No. 23 Texas hosts Baylor at 9PM ET in Big 12 action. Oddsmakers have the Longhorns as a 4-point favorite against the Bears. These two are heading in different directions. Baylor has won four straight and is 3-0-1 ATS in those four games. Texas has lost and failed to cover in two straight. Texas beat Baylor, 74-60, on the road back on Jan. 25 and the Longhorns have covered in three straight against the Bears.
Another key game is in the Big Ten as Purdue hosting No. 16 Michigan at 7PM ET. Oddsmakers have established the Wolverines as a 5-point favorite against the Boilermakers. Michigan has been inconsistent lately, going 3-3 in their last six and 3-4 ATS in their last seven. Purdue has dropped seven of their last nine and is just 2-7-1 ATS in their last nine. Michigan has won three straight over the Boilermakers, but Purdue is 3-0-1 ATS in their last four with Michigan.
