(The Spread) – The deepest conference in the country, the Big East, has seven teams in the top-25 and two of those squads are in action against each other Friday night at 9:00PM EST as No. 16 Louisville entertains No. 13 Connecticut.

In the Big East, it is impossible to rest on your laurels as the next game typically provides just as great if not a greater challenge. That is the case for Connecticut as it is coming off a big win over No. 9 Georgetown Wednesday, but gets Louisville on the road just two days later.
Oddsmakers and online sports book Sportsbook.com have made Louisville 3.5-point favorites in the game. According to the latest trends, Louisville is 3-1 against the spread versus Connecticut over the past three seasons. UConn is 15-5 ATS as an underdog over the last three seasons, while Louisville is 14-24 ATS against teams with winning record over the past two seasons.
While the Huskies have been solid in righting their ship the last two games, the Cardinals have been inconsistent in their last eight contests as they are 4-4 in that stretch. Louisville’s last outing was a 63-54 defeat Wednesday at Cincinnati.
Preston Knowles leads Louisville at 14.9 points per game, while Connecticut’s Kemba Walker (23.2 ppg) was stellar in the 78-70 victory against Georgetown with 31 points on 13-of-23 shooting.
