The Kansas State Wildcats came off an exceptional 2009-10 season ready to pick up where they left off and were ranked No. 4 in the preseason polls. Since then, it has been quite a freefall as they have dropped out of the rankings and watched rival Kansas stay among the top few teams in the nation.
Kansas State and Kansas will renew its rivalry Monday night at 9:00PM EST with the Wildcats hosting. Oddsmakers and online sports book Sportsbook.com have determined the Jayhawks are 5.5-point favorites in the matchup.
According to the latest trends, Kansas is 5-1 against the spread versus Kansas State over the past three seasons. Kansas (24-1), which will likely move back into the No. 1 spot in the nation this season, defeated Kansas State 90-66 in Lawrence on Jan. 29.
