Gamecocks race past Razorbacks
South Carolina rolled to a 77-65 home victory Saturday over Arkansas to improve to 12-11 overall and 7-3 in the SEC. The Gamecocks outscored the Razorbacks 46-30 in the second half to cruise to the win. A.J. Lawson paced USC with 24 points on 8-of-12 shooting including 4-of-5 on 3-point attempts and 4-of-5 at the free throw line. He also tallied seven rebounds and three assists. Keyshawn Bryant accounted for 17 points, three rebounds and two steals. Chris Silva added 16 points, eight boards and three blocked shots. South Carolina shot 26-of-48 from the floor, 10-of-15 from 3-point range and 15-of-24 at the free throw line.
Vols ease past Gators
Tennessee secured a 73-61 home win Saturday over Florida to complete a season sweep and extend its school-record winning streak to 18 games. The Volunteers led 36-30 at halftime and pulled away after the break. Grant Williams paced Tennessee with 16 points on 7-of-11 shooting plus 2-of-3 at the free throw line. He also notched six rebounds and three assists. Admiral Schofield contributed 14 points, six rebounds and two assists. Jordan Bowden tallied 13 points, five boards and two assists off the bench. Jordan Bone added 10 points, five caroms and five dimes. The Volunteers went 28-of-53 from the floor, 6-of-14 from 3-point range and 11-of-16 at the free throw line.
College Basketball Betting Trends
South Carolina
The Gamecocks are 13-4-1 ATS in their last 18 games versus the SEC. South Carolina is 7-3-1 ATS in its last 11 games on the road versus a team with a winning home record.
Tennessee
The Volunteers are 4-1 ATS in their last five games overall. Tennessee is 5-2 ATS in its last seven home games.
Prediction:
Tennessee has taken advantage of a subpar SEC schedule, which is basically also what South Carolina has done although it does have a couple nice wins along the way. But the Gamecocks are still outside the top 100 in both adjusted offensive and defensive efficiency. With the Volunteers not taking any games off, I’m expecting this to be a lopsided win as they continue their assault through conference play.
