Saturday's Top 25 NCAA Odds
LAS VEGAS, NV (The Spread) - A handful of top 25 college basketball teams are in action today, including the struggling Iowa Hawkeyes.
No. 17 Iowa will host No. 10 Michigan today at 2:00PM ET in what has turned into a pivotal game for the Hawkeyes. Iowa has lost three of their last four games, including dropping a 75-67 decision to the Wolverines in Ann Arbor on January 22nd. According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, the Hawkeyes are 5-point favorites today over the Wolverines despite Michigan being 4-1 against the spread in the last five meetings between these two teams.
In the SEC, No. 3 Florida will host Alabama today at 12:00PM ET. The Gators are currently 14.5-point favorites over the Crimson Tide, who are just 1-4-1 against the spread in their last six games overall. That said, the head-to-head trends favor 'Bama in this matchup. The Tide are 6-1 against the number in their last seven games in Florida, while the underdog is 9-3 ATS in the last 12 meetings and the road team is 12-3-1 ATS in the last 16 meetings.
No. 13 St. Louis is 9-0 in the Atlantic 10 and has won 15 straight games, which tied a school record. The Billikins have won road games by 1, 8, 4, and 16 points and are 1-1 as road favorites. They'll visit La Salle tonight at 5:00PM ET as a 3.5-point favorite, which represents some value. SLU has to lose sometime but the team has been a solid play for bettors for much of the season.
Kansas swept West Virginia by 5 and 26 points respectively last year, beating the Mountaineers 91-65 at home in the Mountaineers' first year in the Big 12. The Jayhawks are 14-point favorites over the Mountaineers today at 4:00PM ET. West Virginia is 5-1 against the spread in their last six road games, 4-0 ATS in their last four conference games, and 8-1 ATS in their last nine games after scoring more than 90 points in their previous contest.
