Since a shocking home loss to Texas, the second-ranked Kansas Jayhawks (22-1) have been red-hot. Kansas will attempt to move its winning streak to five games Monday night at 9:00PM EST on ESPN as it hosts No. 14 Missouri (18-5).
Oddsmakers and online sports book Sportsbook.com have made Kansas 10-point favorites in the contest. According to the latest trends, Kansas is 6-0 as a home favorite of 9.5 to 12 points in the last three seasons. The Jayhawks are also 4-0 against the spread versus Missouri during that frame of time.
Missouri had lost two in a row at Oklahoma State and Texas, but rebounded Saturday with an 89-73 home victory over Colorado. Kansas has won its last three games – against Kansas State, Texas Tech, and Nebraska – all by at least 20 points.
Kansas freshman guard Josh Selby (12.0 points per game) missed Saturday’s game at Nebraska with a stress reaction in his foot and is unlikely to play against Missouri. Marcus Morris leads the Jayhawks at 16.0 ppg, while Missouri’s Marcus Denmon scores 16.7 ppg.
The only other top-25 contest is No. 4 Pittsburgh (21-2) at No. 25 West Virginia (15-7). The Mountaineers are 1-point favorites.
Both games will air live on ESPN.
